Subject: Common Ions Table
I am a retired chemistry/physics teacher of 35 years. While teaching I created these worksheets. Some students may find the structure of these practice charts to be helpful in the beginning stages of formula writing. I have developed many such tools over my teaching career and used them for topic introduction and review.
The Common Ions Table includes the ions, their charges, and rules for writing chemical formulas using what is commonly called the "criss cross" method. There are four worksheets that go with the table, and provide practice writing chemical formulas for ionic compounds.
